Har-Tru Courts: Har-Tru is one of the most common court surfaces in the United States because it provides many benefits to players such as the reduction of injuries and the ability to play longer due to less fatigue caused by the Har-Tru. We open all courts to the customer's desire but court openings usually take place around the month of May or the beginning of June. When opening courts, all types of debris is completely removed and a new, fresh layer of Har-Tru is installed. New Har-Tru needs to be installed because of the loss of essential particles through wind and water erosion. We recommend having the court brushed after every play but we are always available to clean your court weekly. Watering your Har-Tru court daily is very important in order for the Har-Tru to stay in its stable position. Throughout the playing season, new bags of Har-Tru may still need to be installed. Weeds can still emerge with this surface but consistent maintenance practices can reduce weed pressure. Court closings occur during the months of September and October.
All-Weather Courts (Cement & Asphalt): All-Weather Courts are the most popular type of court surface throughout the world due to its ability to withstand any type of weather. While this may be stable throughout the world, more injuries are prone to happen due to the hard cement or blacktop. During the installation process, the cement or asphalt is laid then colored with an acrylic color system. There is little maintenance required with this type of surface meaning the only maintenance required is the removal of any debris such as leaves. Cement and Asphalt are more prone to crack so we recommend the court to be refinished after 8 years before cracks get bigger which can increase the price of repair. Court openings take place around the month of May or the beginning of June. Meanwhile, court closings occur during the months of September and October.
Grass Courts: Grass Courts offer the amazing natural feeling that many people love which the other surfaces lack. Grass Courts are able to blend in with your beautiful landscape so that everything looks natural. Grass courts need the most maintenance out of all the other surfaces. Weekly mowing to a certain height is required as well as daily water is mandatory in order for the court to be playable. Just like the normal home lawn, this may require pesticides to mitigate weeds. Court openings take place around the month of May or the beginning of June. Court closings occur during the months of September and October.
